‘Differing relationships to activism-a GenUrb Podcast’ (2024) SSHRC Partnership Grant, Urbanization, Gender, and the Global South: A Transformative Knowledge Network (GenUrb).

Working for the SSHRC Partnership Grant Urbanization, Gender, and the Global South: A Transformative Knowledge Network (GenUrb), I produced a three-part podcast series, interviewing activist and scholars that participated in the project. The activists and scholars discussed their  activist trajectories and their engagement with grassroots communities in the ir local contexts as well as  in the context of  transnational feminist collaborations. Each part is dedicated to an activist of scholar and provides context in relation to local histories and issues.

The series titled Differing relationships to activism-a GenUrb Podcast accompanied the publication of the book Doing Feminist Urban Research: The GenUrb Project (Peake et al., 2024) that was published by Routledge.

Part 1: Differing relationships to activism-a GenUrb Podcast: activist praxis and research in Ramallah, Palestine through the work of Natasha Aruri.

Part 2: Differing relationships to activism-a GenUrb Podcast: Nasya Razavi on working with women’s grassroots organizations through international development in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
